The dignified monkey above and Jude Law snarling like the monkey’s uncle below provide all the juxtaposition to make the first Dom Hemingwayposter a delightful classic.  The monkey is a Hamadryas Baboon named Georgia photographed by Jill Greenberg for her Monkey Portraits study.   Jude Law is Dom Hemingway a walking disaster area / safecracker who’s just got out of a 12-year stretch in prison, ready to collect his reward for keeping quiet for of his big boss, Mr. Fontaine (Demián Bichir).  The Tagline “I Am Dom Hemingway. . .And You’re Not” an old punchline used by Chevy Chase, is placed with just enough irony to make the point without over doing it.

The second poster featuring Jude Law as the whining pride and joy of the Royal Couple is obviously a visual joke aimed at the American audience, letting them know that this is a British comedy, just in case the humor of the first poster didn’t translate across the Atlantic.   Dom Hemingway comes out in the U.K. in November and Stateside sometime in April.
