Jason Edmiston Does Classic Movie Villains for Mondo Gallery

Posted: August 22, 2013 in Movies

Jason Edmiston is a Toronto-based artist who works primarily in acrylics.  Mondo Gallery in Austin Texas will be hosting an exhibition of his work devoted to classic movie villains.  The realism of his paintings is exceptional and some manage (as in the Stay Puft Marshall Man and Reagan Zombie pieces) to get in a wry observation about the movies themselves.  I love how his affinity for drawing brown eyes and the intensity he can generate in them.   A Rogue’s Gallery opens August 23 from 7-10 p.m. at 4115 Guadalupe St. Austin TX. It’ll remain on display through September 14. For more information, visit Mondotees.com.
