The Highly Animated Women of Game of Thrones

Posted: August 7, 2014 in Movies

There’s a slight Disney-ness to this Women of The Games of Thrones series by digital artist Leann Hill. For the most part, it is a fun and successful transition to the animated world.

The best:

Catelyn’s portrait aches with echoes of Edvard Munchian scream in the way the whole river and hills contort to reflect her angst and pain.

Minor quibbles:

Brienne suffers from a little too much compromise between angular and circular features. Daenery’s gown doesn’t flow in a flattering way. Ygritte overdoses in angularity.
